His portrait of Willy Russel is owned by National Museums Liverpool and his work can also be seen in the Williamson Art Gallery in Birkenhead as well as National Museum Wales and Ulster Museum, Belfast.

The exhibition also features the work of four Romanian artists – Radu Belcin, Flavia Pitis, Aurel Tar and Francisc Chiuariu – whose work is influenced bu the way Romania’s history, cultural experience and current economic power or lack of it affect their lives.

The work selected for the show is a snapshot of this new reality and its effects on people and society in Romania.

Lack of freedom and identity issues are brought to the fore bu Belcin’s realist paintings, while childhood in the consumer society is the focus of the Chiuariu’s series titled Forever Ikea. Pitis works with the close-up childish gestures combined with the habits of adults, and Tar’s pop art style captures the strong hold that USSR held over its empire states.
